Children who encounter bullying at school or outside the home may use this art form to protect themselves.

The training involves a lot of exercises that will make children flexible, stronger and improve their body’s endurance levels. Each and every session of Jiu Jitsu is a combination of stretching exercises, breathing exercises, cardiovascular fitness techniques and resistance exercises. Though the sessions sap children completely of their energy, the health benefits that they provide are worth the physical exhaustion.
Jiu Jitsu also helps children in establishing long term relationships with other fellow students. The art form moulds the child’s brain in such a way that the child becomes more open, friendly and develops far better social skills than children who do not practice Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. It also inculcates a sportive mindset among children and teaches them to respect others students and elders.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu moulds trains children to set goals and work towards achieving them. It instills a sense of discipline among kids and children. Practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu requires a lot of discipline and dedication. This discipline learnt as a part of the training is transferred to personal life and thus helps children to become more self-disciplined.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu also affects the food habits of children. It encourages children to opt for a balanced and healthy diet instead of eating junk food that adds to body fat and creates problems related to obesity. In fact, the rigorous exercise regimen of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu helps in burning calories and thus prevents problems related to weight gain and obesity.
