For the past couple months, Professor Renato has been very busy. On May 23rd, he went to Italy, along with other teachers from Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, France, Austria, and England, to a 3 day teacher camp in Milan. After that, Professor went to Azerbaijan to learn Zurkhaneh which is an ancient Martial Arts practiced by Persian soldiers. After Azerbaijan, Professor headed to Israel, where he trained Krav Maga and got his certification to teach Krav Maga under KMI – Krav Maga International Association. After that Professor headed to Europe for quick for the seminar in Vienna at Mario Hudelist’s place. From there, he went to Stuttgart at Stallion Gym. From Stuttgart he went to Belgium to teach at Evert’s place and from there to Switzerland to teach at Mariu’s Maissen place – New Legacy Gym Aarau.
Overall we taught close to 200 students. In those seminars we had 3 students, some who have been with us for over 10 years, promoted to Black Belts. It was a great experience to travel around Europe, not only to teach, but also to learn and to get to see friends and students doing well.
Soon Professor Renato will be going to help Azerbaijan grow their Jiu-Jitsu program and then to other countries like Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Russia and Georgia. We are very happy with all the alliances that we have with great instructors overseas, not only with Jiu-Jitsu, but other systems as well, and to showcase how international Sampa Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is. So please if you are interested in training, please call at 626-335-4971 in Glendora or 909-444-9944 in Walnut.
